Fluorescent Axolotl Using Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter

EMS Catalog #SFA

These pictures of Green Fluorescence Protein (GFP)-expressing transgenic neurula stage axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) embryos in this gallery were all taken using the NIGHTSEA Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter for illumination. The first two white-light/fluorescence pairs were taken with a Canon Rebel T2i camera mounted to the microscope's trinocular port, while the last pair was taken with an iPhone 5 camera held up to the eyepiece. It's a convenient way for students to take photos during labs! Access to specimens courtesy of Dr. Kristi Wharton and Kathy Patenaude, Brown University.
